Motorists are known to lose their concentration on a mountain curve in North Carolina.
Between Franklin and Highlands, the Cullasaja River parallels one side of a highway, and rock cliffs parallel the other.
Sudden drops in a gorge carved by the river create massive waterfalls.
Cullasaja Falls forms within yards of the highway, causing glances into the gorge and sudden stops that are unexpected on the narrow, 2-lane roadway.
