Silver Screen

Remember drive-ins? You know, it was once a popular spot to view an outdoor screen that displayed movies for viewers who sat in their vehicles. For many, most of these entertainment centers have faded from memory.
In Upstate South Carolina, there's a permanent, although unintentional, monument to the way it once was.
Ramsey Creek cascades over rocks to create this iconic display in Chau-Ram Park near Westminster.
The sight should be more visible. However, at this park, the entry of the creek is at the edge of a picnic area and often overlooked as most visitors go in the opposite direction, following a path to the Chauga River.
