Natural Lighting

Lighting can be key to the success of a show. In Upstate South Carolina, a smooth rock is positioned for a perfect view of Pigpen Falls. And the water that pools between the falls and the rock provides the perfect stage for nature's lighting. Located north of Mountain Rest and at the end of a 2-plus mile dirt road, a Forest Service path winds downhill through a forest of hardwood trees. After crossing a creek and a hike of a short distance, a well-used clearing signals a destination worthy of a hike. The rock, which is a few yards from this 14-foot falls, offers the best seat in the house. Arrive early. The demand is high. To return to, click here.
