Dodd's Moment

Who knew that the eyes could soothe aching feet.
In northeast Georgia, a 2.5-mile hike ends at one of the state's most unique views.
Near Helen on the Richard Russell Parkway, hikers work their way along Dodd Creek until the trail ends with a view of a 60-foot rock wall. Those who climb about 30 yards to the side of the cliff are treated to an amazing sight. The creek falls into a cavern formed by the cliff and exits through a narrow opening. Rocks provide a perfect place to sit and watch.
